Passed out!

I gave the girls a bath this evening and put Lauren in the jumper after getting her out. This keeps her from crawling on the bathroom floor and getting all wet. I left the room for about a minute to get Amy out and came back to find Lauren fast asleep in her jumper. I love how she's holding on with her little fingers. Of course, then I had to leave her in there for 10 minutes until her daddy got home to see her.

A fun day in the park

Today, we went to the Laughlin Park for a fun little nature walk for the kids. They got to make their own little thing to look through (forgot what it's called.) And then they got to walk and look for things. They found a feather and saw a bird's nest in a tree. It was so much fun. Then, they listened to a story about desert animals and got to pretend they were lizards, owls, and birds. Lauren was mostly trying to eat grass. haha. The best part was that everyone napped when we got home! Yay for Mommy! ;-)

Love the Laughlin Library

Tonight we went to the Laughlin Library for story time. Amy got to make cards for her friends and listen to a story. After story time, we attended "Family Fit." Amy had so much fun playing Red Light Green Light and Duck Duck Goose with the other kids. They pretended to be robots and flowers. It was such a great start to our weekend! Lauren loved watching the kids running around and even tried to crawl right after them. I think we'll make the Laughlin Library our regular Friday night hangout. Never thought I'd be saying that 10 years ago!

It's laundry day

Is that the biggest pile of pink laundry you've ever seen in your life?

Family Game Night

Tonight we had our very first official Family Game Night. We've tried to play games as a family before, but as I've said in earlier posts, Amy does not like to sit for too long. When we play Candy Land, Shoots and Ladders, or Memory she usually gives up before the game is over just because she's bored or tired of sitting. So, I was checking out blogs today and came across one that was suggested by my wonderful mother-in-law called Mommy's Kitchen. The creator of the blog talked about her weekly family dessert/game night. I was excited about the idea and ran right out to the store to buy Twister and ingredients to make a giant chocolate chip cookie. I knew Amy would LOVE Twister because it's such an active game. We had a great time playing the game and everyone loved their dessert. I think we'll start this tradition off as an every-other Saturday thing.

Gotta have my coffee!

Lauren is such a grump if she doesn't get her morning coffee. LOL. She got a hold of my coffee cup this morning and wouldn't let go. She was holding it up to her mouth, trying to get the last drop out of the bottom. We couldn't stop laughing at all the slurping noises she was making!

There's a hole in my mouth!

About a month ago, Amy lost her first tooth. She hadn't even turned five yet! She had another loose one, right next to the one she had lost. Well, she lost that one this morning and now has a huge gap on the bottom. Look how proud she is!
